Summary:
Yoru asks Fami if she can use her powers, but her lack of answer is more than enough to tell her “no.” Katana Man recognises her and reveals her poem collection is on sale next month. His partner, the Nail Fiend, asks if he’s a fan of her’s, to which he staunchly denies it, and that worship of Chainsaw Man is why the world is currently the way it is. Nail comments how they’re going to fall asleep, only for Katana Man to retort that he’d view them as one of the “bad guys” as well if they keep up their mockery. Nail Fiend then makes a jab at Katana Man’s position of being a former mobster, only for their fellow agent to tell the two to kill the student.
Thinking quick on her feet, Asa tells Katana Man they’re here to fight Chainsaw Man, confusing both him and Haruka. Asa explains she can take him to Chainsaw Man, revealing to him that not only was he here, but that was what he was guarding the whole time. The third member of Public Safety tries to order both Katana Man and Nail Fiend to obey him, using their dreams of restoring their Yakuza family and opening a successful business respectively as leverage, but both refuse; Nail Fiend due to disliking how many kids they had to kill recently, and Katana Man due to how he “lives to kill Chainsaw Man.”
The agent sighs and tells his wife that she was right, and that he shouldn’t have joined the special division, before vanishing, telling the others he’ll send someone else to face them while they go see Chainsaw Man. Yoru quips that Public Safety is full of cowards, as Haruka has a breakdown about how she decided to fight Chainsaw Man. Yoru repeats Katana Man’s sentiment on how she lives to fight Chainsaw Man, causing the Hybrid to remark that she truly is Chainsaw Man’s woman; she’s stealing his thunder already.
