Chainsaw Man is now two episodes into its debut anime, and the director behind the series is celebrating the latest installment with special new Power art! The first episode of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga series introduced fans to a new tragic hero, Denji, whose life was so messed up that becoming a devil ultimately meant happiness for him. But that’s just the beginning of the major developments we’ll see for the rest of the season, including some new characters we’ll meet for the first time in the latest post.
Chainsaw Man Episode 2 introduced two more members of Denji’s new Devil Hunting team, Aki Hayakawa and Power. These two are quite a fan favorite of the original manga, and this is especially true of Power. She was one of the characters that fans were especially pleased to see in action heading into the anime’s full release, and it seems that the same goes for the cast. Series director Ryu Nakayama celebrated Power’s debut episode with special fan art on Twitter! Check it out below:
Who is power
Episode 2 introduced Power in the anime as a member of the Special Division 4 team in the larger Public Safety organization Devil Extermination. Like Denji, he is a being caught between worlds because he is a Devil who has since become a Devil by taking over a human corpse. But unlike the devils and fiends we saw in action in the early episodes, she was teased to have more rationality that makes her a useful weapon for demon hunters. But like Denji, she could be killed if things go south.
So Power is tasked with becoming Denji’s main partner in the latest episode as the two encounter a new devil, and it’s teased that she has plenty of “power” at her disposal as she wields her blood like a hammer. Now it’s just a matter of how he’ll get along with Denji and whether or not the two will make a good devil-hunting team as the anime’s debut continues.
